We offer sodium base bentonite that has excellent colloidal properties. Possessing the property of swelling, the sodium bentonite provided by us expands when wet making it absorb several times its dry mass while in water. Sodium bentonite provided by us finds applications in the following areas: • In drilling mud for oil and gas wells • For geotechnical and environmental investigations • Useful as a sealant, especially for the sealing of subsurface disposal systems for spent nuclear fuel and for quarantining metal pollutants of groundwater • For making slurry walls • Waterproofing of below-grade walls • Forming impermeable barriers like to seal off the annulus of a water well • To plug old wells • As a liner in the base of landfills to prevent migration of leachate Having the capability of getting "sandwiched" between synthetic materials, sodium bentonite helps create geosynthetic liners (GSL) for the aforementioned purposes. This technique allows for more convenient transport and installation thereby reducing the volume of sodium bentonite required. The surface modifications to sodium bentonite can improve some rheological or sealing performance in geo- environmental applications.
We provide our clients calcium bentonite powder that is supplemented with double water layer particles with Ca++ as the exchangeable ion. Popularly known as calcium bentonite or non-swelling type bentonite, the calcium bentonite powder offered by us has about 35% finer yielding capacity than 0.5 micron. Another conventional use of bentonite is as a mud constituent for oil- and water- well drilling. Its role is mainly to seal the borehole walls, to remove drill cuttings and to lubricate the cutting head. The special higher mud yield results in using less quantity of Bentonite for the same standard mud. This results in lesser requirement of Bentonite.
